Last year was very eventful for me. I’ve been a bit busy to write many blog posts but I’m ready to get back into it. Over the next year I’ll be writing about my experiences in grad school, postdoc, and the transition; as well as some of the projects I’ve been working on and coding I’ve learned.
I developed an undergraduate introductory lab course. I’m writing up a paper with 2 motivated students (one wants to become a mathematical modeler 🥺)
I held a collaborative mathematics and biology workshop for math people at Association for Women in Math research symposium at Rice University. This was followed by one for plant biologists at Plant Biology 2019 annual meeting in San Jose. We’re working on writing up the results now. Hope it will be interesting!
I wrote and defended my dissertation 🥳 followed by a few days of trying to figure out LaTeX format. & of course, I officially graduated!
